The COVID pandemic has led to many services being offered virtually online, including tele-health. As a result, there’s been an increase in chemical abortions. It’s now widely available for pregnant women to have pills delivered directly to their homes, so they don’t have to travel to an abortion clinic. Low-income women have been targeted, as traveling far distances is often a challenge. So if a woman finds herself pregnant, ending the pregnancy is as easy as ordering a regimen of pills through the mail. It’s called medication abortion. Some states have begun to restrict this method of abortion, but Kentucky has yet to do so. Medication abortion doesn’t have the right ring to it either. Medication is supposed to treat diseases. And human beings in the womb are certainly not diseases.
