Many mainstream media members are in shock at Donald Trump’s victory, just as they were in 2016. Voter anger over the direction of the country and tone-deaf Democratic policy priorities led not only to Democrats losing the White House, but also the U.S. Senate. Voters did not trust Kamala Harris and the Democrats on many issues including: an unregulated southern border, the inflation crisis, gender ideology, DEI in public schools, and foreign policy failures. Mainstream media outlets marginalized conservative voices and misrepresented them on important issues. Exit polling shows that voters were driven by the economy and immigration reform, both strong Republican issues which led to a second Trump term and a GOP Senate majority.
