Several medical organizations insist that doctors should prescribe puberty blockers to children with gender dysphoria. This approach fails to consider mental health struggles of children. Recent documents leaked from the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) have even recommended puberty blockers for kids as young as 9. But many doctors are beginning to question this policy. England’s National Health Service recently banned the prescription of puberty blockers to children. More doctors reject the idea that life-altering treatments should be pushed on confused children. That’s because radical gender ideology hasn’t considered the best long-term interests of children. Europe is pushing against gender transitions of children and it is very likely that the U.S. will soon follow.
