Remember the letter the U.S. Department of Education sent to public schools saying children have right to determine their own gender? Well, now its led to lawsuits by transgender students who feel they've been discriminated against. A 16-year-old Wisconsin student born a girl, who now identifies as a boy is suing her High School. She says the district has denied her access to boys' restrooms, didn't allow her to run for election as junior prom king and complained that teachers continue to call her by the wrong pronoun. In Chicago, several families sued their school because it allows a boy who identifies as a transgender girl to use the girls' locker room. Now, it's one thing for a person to insist they have a right to change their gender, but its quite another to compel others to participate in their fiction—especially when it threatens others privacy.
