Kentucky Republicans are supporting Texas Gov. Greg Abbot who’s defending the Texas border agains illegal immigrants from breeching it. He’s doing this because the federal government isn’t doing its job. In the last couple of years, President Biden has failed to secure the border and over 2 million illegal entrants have crossed from Mexico, in many cases without opposition. In response, the Texas National Guard is setting up new barriers and keeping illegal migrants out. Attorney General Russell Coleman said, “President Biden’s failed open border policy gives drug cartels and criminals a free pass…The crisis at the southern border demands a strong response, and I am proud to stand with Governor Abbott….” Of course, nobody has a right to enter American soil without entering the proper way. Texas makes a strong case for enforcing its own border, especially since the federal government has failed to do so.
