Kentucky is ranked the 7th unhealthiest state in the nation, according to the United Health Foundation. A position it has unfortunately and consistently held since 1990, except for 2008 when it was ranked 39th. Kentucky has the 2nd highest percentage of citizens who vape, 5th highest for those who smoke, and 2nd worst when it comes to sufficient sleep. It’s clear that Kentuckians aren’t taking ownership of their personal health. But we should care deeply, as life is a great gift from our Creator, who created us with a soul and a body, both of which we are to be good stewards of. This is so we can care for our families and our neighbors, and to honor Him. When we fail to do that, we eventually become the object of care instead of being able to care for others.
