The Biden administration has turned the historical understanding of Title IX on its head. Gender identity is now a protected status, meaning biological males can play women’s sports. But many states are pushing back, including Kentucky. Our public schools received over $1 billion in federal funding last year, and the Biden Administration is threatening to withhold it if we don’t comply. But that doesn’t matter to Kentucky’s Attorney General Russell Coleman. “It is my duty to protect the people of Kentucky. As a Dad, it is my duty to protect my daughters. Today, I do both.” The Biden Administration’s new rule would rip away 50 years of Title IX’s protections for women and put entire generations of young girls at risk. In the end, Coleman and others are siding with common sense and principle over money.
