The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Kentucky is asking the US Supreme Court to consider a case against the law banning gender transitions for minors. A US Circuit Court already decided the law’s ban on hormones could stay in place. But the ACLU isn’t backing down. They’re demanding that minors have a right to gender transitions through medical means. However, they’re not considering the physical and mental harm these life changing procedures cause. Instead of helping the mind align with biological reality, the ACLU is arguing that a child’s body should be manipulated to align with the mind—which is still developing in young people. And the courts have traditionally ruled to protect minors from decisions they cannot truly comprehend. We hope the U.S. Supreme Court sides with the protection and well-being of minors.
