Kentucky’s Amendment 2 would empower parents and give families more options for the best education fit for their children. Now, the vote is getting attention from a prominent national newspaper. The Wall Street Journal’s Editorial Board is encouraging Kentuckians to vote Yes on 2, saying, “Choice merely lets parents choose the best option for their children, and public schools that measure up needn’t worry about competition.” The Journal also ran a column about officials from Pulaski and Daviess county schools—as well as Lieut. Gov. Jacqueline Coleman—who have unlawfully used their platforms to oppose the Amendment. Kentucky is the only state in our region that doesn’t have school choice. And the nation will be watching to see what Kentucky voters decide in November.
