People from all over the country are coming to Asbury University in Wilmore after a Wednesday chapel service turned into what many are calling a revival. Attendees are worshiping around the clock, repenting of their sins, professing faith in Jesus Christ, and continuing in prayer. There are some, however, claiming this is an emotional experience, not a revival. A question we should ask then is, “How can we know if this is a revival?” The Bible is clear that repentance is evidence of an encounter with God. This doesn’t mean people will be perfect, but they will dedicate their lives to following Him. If this is a genuine work of the Holy Spirit at Asbury, the proof will be in the result of changed lives of people walking with God in humility and joy.
