Congressional Democrats are now opposing the U.S. Supreme Court, a branch of government they’ve relied upon for years as the final authority on all political matters. In recent days, they’ve passed two extreme abortion measures that await votes in the senate. The Women’s Health Protection Act and the Ensuring Access to Abortion Act would codify Roe v. Wade into law, which was declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in its historic Dobbs ruling last month. Democrats are once again federalizing an issue that the Court has said should be left to individual states. This violates the democratic principle by cutting off the people’s influence which is greatest at the state level. And more importantly, these bills violate the right to life to every human being.
