Joe Carter, an editor for The Gospel Coalition and a communications assistant for The Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, has an excellent essay on the origins and successes of the gay rights movement. In an essay at Canon & Culture titled, "The Most Influential Essay You’ve Never Heard Of,” Carter discusses the influence and impact of an essay “The Overhauling of Straight America” which was eventually expanded into the book After the Ball — How America will conquer its fear and hatred of Gays in the 1990s. Carter discusses the playbook of the gay rights movement and shows just how successful they’ve been in following their strategy. This is an excellent essay and not to be missed.
