Today is Good Friday. It’s a high holy day of Christianity where Christians remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It’s ironic that it’s called Good Friday since so much evil was meted out on Christ. After all he lived a perfect, sinless life, framed in a sham trial that sent him to a brutal death on a cross. But while Jesus was on the cross, he said “father forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Christ came to bear the sins of the world and reconnect sinful man to a holy God. The good news of Christianity is that God came into the world, not to condemn us, but to save us from our sins. And that is indeed, good news that makes today Good Friday.
