It’s Good Friday today, the day when Christians around the world remember the crucifixion of Jesus. And this Sunday is Easter Sunday, the day Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. It’s normally one of the most attended church services of the year, but with the coronavirus pandemic, that’s not going to happen. At best, churches will be broadcasting over the Internet or in some cases, have drive-in services with people staying in their cars. In either case, the message of the church is still the same: that God loves us and there’s hope in Jesus. It’s called the Good News. And with so much fear and anxiety due to job loss and looming economic depression, the hope in Jesus and His resurrection is the best news we’ll hear all weekend.
