Wildfires in Los Angeles have destroyed over 12,000 buildings and at least 25 people have lost their lives. The Left is blaming global climate change for the deadly inferno. But management practices have focused on endangered animals instead of safety. Failure to maintain firebreaks and clean up underbrush allows for a tinderbox that fuel such massive fires and it’s proven deadly to people and their property. Compounding the crisis was Governor Gavin Newsom’s drastic cuts to wildfire funding by over $100 million dollars back in June. The lesson we’re learning here is that the failure to preserve human communities has endangered both wildlife and human beings. Estimates suggest that these could be the costliest wildfires in U.S. history, at over $250 billion.
