As the long days of summer begin to fade, so do the headlines surrounding the story of Governor Matt Bevin’s new home in Louisville. Media outlets kept the story on the front page for nearly six months, alleging the Governor got a sweetheart deal from a friend, but it turns out the Jefferson County PVA agreed the price Bevin paid was fair. The Louisville Courier-Journal led the news media frenzy as they published dozens of stories. The funny thing is…the company that owns the paper challenged an assessment on a building they purchased in downtown Louisville. You’d think they'd empathize with Governor Bevin, but no. This story continues to show that media bias is real and because of it, the credibility of news media outlets like the Louisville Courier-Journal is on the decline.
