There’s a great cynicism by many Kentuckians about our current politics. Many believe that political leaders don’t listen to them or that their vote doesn’t matter. However, consider that you have control over how you respond to our leaders and to the issues of the day. You can refuse to vote or you can steward your vote. You can be a critic or you can be the solution. You can tear down the process or try to reform it. You see, your approach to the world and politics is shaping you and those around you in things as simple as conversations with others and your attitude. So fight against cynicism. Don’t give into despair. There’s a lot at stake, including your character and the person you’re becoming.
