A federal court blocked Pres. Biden’s transgender mandate, an order that redefines sex discrimination to include sexual orientation, gender identity, and abortion access. To be clear, this order was an attempt from the Biden administration to force doctors into performing transgender surgeries even against their religious objections. Several people have released statements about this order, but Luke Goodrich, vice president and senior counsel at the religious advocacy group Becket, probably said it best, “The federal government has no business forcing doctors to violate their consciences or perform controversial procedures that could permanently harm their patients. The government’s attempt to force doctors to go against their consciences was bad for patients, bad for doctors, and bad for religious liberty.” This was the second federal court to strike down Biden’s transgender executive order.
