The FBI pressured social media companies to suppress politically related stories during the 2020 presidential election. Former Top Twitter Executive, Yoel Roth, provided sworn testimony to the Federal Elections Commission, claiming that the FBI warned Twitter about Hunter Biden’s Laptop before the New York Post released their story claiming it was Russian disinformation. When the New York Post finally released the story, Twitter suspended their account. This is a clear violation of the First Amendment, which protects free speech and freedom of the press from government interference. When a government agency uses its power to control speech in order to influence a presidential election, the First Amendment is violated and the integrity of our elections is in jeopardy.
