A group called the American Principles Project is running a political ad in a Michigan Senate race that highlights the unfairness of boys competing in girls’ sports. Most would agree that this is unfair to girls’ sports. But the ad was pulled by Facebook. The Social media giant said the stopped the ad campaign because it was “missing context.” Not exactly sure what that means but its worth asking how advocating for fairness in girls sports becomes more controversial to Facebook than transgender boys competing against girls. Since Facebook is a private company it has the right to decide advertising content. But it should consider truth and fairness. And in the case of the assertion of transgender equality, as it relates to girls’ sports, transgenderism fails on both accounts.
