Well, we made it. After a long political season with endless campaign ads, political rhetoric, and record spending, election day is finally here. So have you ever thought about why elections are so contested? Why people spend so much time and energy to get their candidates elected? Quite simply, it’s because there’s a lot at stake. America is unlike any other nation on the face of the earth and it’s worth fighting for. The idea of inalienable rights, the rule of law, limited government, and economic opportunity are why people from across the world are lining up to become American citizens. It isn’t a government program like housing, food, and free healthcare. Those things are offered in other countries and they’re incompatible with maximum freedom. Remember that as you vote, a government big enough to provide you with everything is a government big enough to take it away.
