A recent study from a free speech organization called Speech First, found that universities across America emphasize diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) over free speech. Many materials were cited in the study. But the most controversial was an orientation video from Northern Kentucky University that stated, “We all have participated in microaggressions,” and “If you have not been to a drag show yet we are going to make sure you have that opportunity.” When institutions entrusted with educating the next generation are more concerned with filling young minds with radical political ideologies than educating them with the truth, we should question the legitimacy of those institutions, especially when these ideologies fail to maintain basic constitutional rights that are foundational to our republic.
