The COVID-19 outbreak has caused panic. All Kentucky schools and restaurants are closed at least until April. The Kentucky primary election has been postponed until June 23. And there’s a general sense of anxiety. The elderly and those with compromised immunity, of course, are concerned about catching the virus. And those out of work are worried about how to pay their bills. The government’s stimulus package may help in the short term but this crisis forces all of us to think about our mortality and ultimate questions. Most of us will make it through this pandemic alright. But if your main identity is in your job and income, this crisis may level your psychological state. May God help each of you and may you look to Him for your ultimate support in these trying times.
