For the first time in more than 50 years, Congress hosted a hearing on UFOs. That’s right. The government unveiled its latest findings on aliens. While there are stranger incidents that cannot be explained, the deputy director of Naval Intelligence said there is no evidence of anything “non-terrestrial in origin.” Sightings of UAP, or unexplained aerial phenomenon, as they’re now called, have increased in the past few years due to technological advances in the military. But while the Pentagon would like to know if there’s life outside planet earth, they say their top priority is the safety of military personnel and bases, and it looks like at this point, UFOs aren’t a threat.
