A headline at CNN laments that the electric car company Tesla isn’t paying any federal taxes this year. Tesla is a multinational corporation that’s found loopholes to avoid federal taxes. The law needs to be fixed, but class warfare foot soldiers also criticize Tesla’s owner Elon Musk for amassing such wealth. Musk is the richest person in the world. But he personally paid $11 billion in taxes last year! He also donated $5.7 billion to a charity back in November. Class warfare fanned by the left is based on grievance and envy. It fails to see that individuals can use their talent and energy to create wealth. And when they succeed, as Musk has, they can donate it to good causes as they see fit.
