April has been designated Child Abuse Prevention Month in Kentucky. In conjunction with this month, Attorney General Daniel Cameron has announced he will join the Prevent Child Abuse Kentucky initiative. This campaign will equip Kentuckian parents with tips and resources to become aware of others who have influence on the lives of their children so that abuse can be prevented. Part of this initiative will address the growing danger of children on the internet. AG Cameron said, “Child exploitation destroys lives and robs children of their innocence. We must do everything we can to ensure Kentuckians have happy and healthy childhoods.” It’s sad we have to talk about this, but its good we have top officials dedicated to making Kentucky a safer place for kids.
