The exchange the other day between Berkeley Law Professor Khiara Bridges and Arkansas Sen. Josh Hawley is a snapshot of conflict between objective truth as revealed by God and the hostility toward the created order. Prof. Bridges asked Sen. Hawley, “Do you believe that men can get pregnant?” Sen. Hawley: responded “No,” to which Prof Bridges became combative when she said, “So, you’re denying that trans people exist. I want to recognize that your line of questioning is transphobic, and it opens up trans people to violence by not recognizing them.” The brief exchange reveals something about the state of higher ed. When the educated class defies biology and reason, it calls into question their authority and the value they are to a healthy society.
