Pres. Biden has once again overstepped his authority by mandating all Head Start staff to receive the COVID vaccine. Head Start is a pre-school readiness program for children in low-income communities. KY Attorney General Daniel Cameron has joined a multi-state lawsuit in response to this mandate he believes is unconstitutional. Cameron is also concerned that forced vaccinations would result in staff leaving. He said, “Kentucky’s head start programs serve over 17,000 Kentucky children, and we cannot afford to lose these essential services.” Cameron added that he “believes that the Head Start mandate suffers from the same legal flaws as those mandates [on businesses].” If this mandate remains in place, then it’s projected that Head Start will lose 17% of its staff. And in the end, it is Kentucky’s children who will suffer.
