Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas’ announcement of his department’s creation of a Disinformation Governance Board drew the ire of two Kentucky political leaders. Attorney General Daniel Cameron said that a Disinformation Governance Board “poses a serious threat to the First Amendment rights of Kentuckians and citizens across the country.” Sen. Rand Paul agreed. In fact, he grilled Mayorkas in a Senate hearing and said that we work out “disputes by debating the issues.” Paul pointed out several examples of disinformation the U.S. government has been involved in.
