Gov. Beshear’s latest mask mandate for all Kentucky schools was temporarily blocked by a federal judge. The state legislature passed a law giving local school districts the authority to create their own policy on masking, but Beshear has thwarted the law, which is in front of the state Supreme Court. Time and again Gov. Beshear has failed to consider the interest of parents and local school districts. Federal Judge William Bertelsman said that Gov. Beshear “cannot simply ignore laws passed by the duly-elected representatives of the citizens of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Therein lies tyranny.” Strong words from a federal judge. Throughout the pandemic, Governor Beshear decided not to work with the General Assembly and instead instituted what some have called dictatorial executive orders imposed upon the people of the commonwealth
