Virginia Governor Ralph Northam stirred a controversy when he defended a bill that would allow unborn babies to be aborted up until birth. His said that infanticide for some babies might be acceptable and that “If a mother is in labor…the infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians & mother.” Northam responded to Virginia’s Repeal Act, which would legalize abortion up to the point of birth. It’s controversial. This legislation is being pushed because American’s increasingly value innocent human life and those on the political left fear the Supreme Court might overturn Roe v Wade.
