Since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the number of abortions in America has slightly risen. Altogether, there were over a million abortions in 2023, a 10 year high. This is largely because of pro-choice states, which protect abortion access. In fact, states like California and Illinois have become abortion meccas. And groups like Planned Parenthood aggressively advertise to women in pro-life states like Kentucky through telehealth and mail-order abortion pills. In fact, they help subsidize abortions in some cases. Even so, pro-life states like Kentucky are seeing abortions decline. The trends tell us that the pro-life movement has much work to do, including caring for women in crisis pregnancies and providing for their newborn children.
