A Headline at the popular conservative opinion website Townhall said, “How You Can Make Liberals Seethe With Rage Today.”Clearly, there’s passion on both sides of the political aisle. But should followers of Jesus seek to make others “teeth with rage?” If anything, Christians should be known more by their grace and the fruit of the spirit that radiates from them than by their strong political opinions. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control are fruits of a believers life. Believers are also told that they should have ministries of reconciliation. The world doesn’t need more political heat. Rather, it needs followers of Jesus living according to His principles in order to be ambassadors of hope and healing in a hurting and broken world.
