Is it appropriate to expose toddlers and young children to same-sex weddings? PBS thinks so. They featured a homosexual "wedding" on a popular cartoon for children. The cartoon “Arthur,” is the longest-running animated series for children in the nation. A recent program featured the Arthur's teacher, Mr. Ratburn, marrying another man. The children end up in the ceremony and witness their teacher walking down the aisle in the arms of his same-sex partner. Critics of this episode argue that children are very impressionable and pushing an ideology that goes against nature confuses them. Without a doubt, children today are growing up in a world that rejects moral boundaries for marriage. However, even as the standards of marriage have shifted, we need to ask if this is a good and healthy thing for our kids.
