The group Media Matters is demanding that Fox News commentator Tucker Carlson be fired for comments he made several years ago. According to its website, Media Matters says its mission is to "make sure that the American people get the facts. We meticulously document right-wing misinformation in the media." However, the group's antagonism to the political right runs deep and they're pressuring advertisers to drop sponsorships during Carlson's segment. They've also incited a protest that led to 20 people chanting outside Carlson’s home “Tucker Carlson, we will fight. We know where you sleep at night.” They also spray-painted an anarchy symbol on his driveway. It's one thing to oppose someone's political views but it's quite another to entirely push opposing views from the public arena. In this case, Media Matters appears to be crossing the line.
