Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) recently held listening sessions where parents could raise concerns and share input about their child's education. Much of it has to do with which school their child will attend. You see, not all Louisville schools are performing at the same level and in some cases kids spend hours on the bus every day. Mike Neagle was mostly concerned about getting his two kids into the best school. He told Spectrum News that getting your kids into the right school is like "a labyrinth. You don't know…there's minotaurs at the end of different corridors, and you don't know… . When we filed applications, sometimes it feels like pulling a lever on a slot machine. You hope for the results, but you never really know what you're gonna get."
