Should abortion be a constitutionally protected right in the Commonwealth? One State Representative says yes. Adriel Camuel’ proposal would rewrite Kentucky’s constitution by creating an unlimited right to abortion for any reason and all the way up to the ninth month of pregnancy. If enacted, it would undermine Section 1 of Kentucky’s Constitution which guarantees the fundamental right of life. As it is, Kentucky protects vulnerable unborn human life and bans abortion, except to save the mother’s life. If. If Camuel’s bill passes it would undo pro-life protections set that benefit not just you and me but future generations. This bill is not expected to move since a pro-life majority controls the state legislature.
