Students at UCLA gathered around a piñata of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and took turns beating it with a stick, yelling, “Free, free Palestine.” One shouted and expletive “beat that ….. Jew”. It’s not an isolated case, as students on college campuses across the country are siding with Hamas terrorists and fomenting anti-semitism. It’s disappointing to see the educated class resorting to language that leads to violence. There will be a reckoning when free-speech crosses over into speech that promotes violence. If somebody says something you disagree with, you have the freedom to walk away. However, if their speech says they want to harm or kill a certain group of people, then all bets are off. May God be merciful and bring peace in such a time of hate.
