Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker came under fire recently after an old tweet resurfaced. Pritzker urged the public to “use the other gender’s bathroom” in order to protest the Trump administration’s policies on transgenderism. Now, Pritzker posted this in 2017, but it’s back in the news since transgender ideology remains a hot topic. Some argue that the tweet supports the personhood of transgender people.  But others are concerned about the consequences of a political leader calling for the invasion of women’s private spaces. It’s never ok for biological males to be in women’s locker rooms or bathrooms. Pritzker appears to have presidential ambitions and if he hopes to seriously compete for federal office, he should walk back his statement and promptly apologize.
