Today is the observance of Veteran’s Day. It was originally known as Armistice Day which marked the silencing of the guns of WWI on November 11, 1918. Now we honor all our veterans who’ve ever served in our armed forces. National defense may be something we take for granted but in danger, we should thank the men and women who put themselves in harm’s way to protect our country. Jesus said “no greater love hath a man than he lay his life down for a friend.” This passage is relevant regarding the soldiers who put their lives on the line for our safety. So when you see a veteran today, thank them for their service. They’ll be sure to appreciate it!
