Vanderbilt University in Nashville is coming under fire after its medical center was exposed for performing gender reassignment treatment and surgeries on minors. 13-year-olds are put on puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones that render them infertile. 16-year-old girls receive double mastectomies. What’s the motivation for this? Money. Dr. Shayne Taylor of Vanderbilt explains in a lecture that the gender transition game is a “big money maker” due to the cost of the surgeries and the life of follow-up visits required. Lest we think this isn’t something happening in Kentucky, UK and UofL both have gender clinics giving puberty blockers and hormone therapy to minors. When modern medicine puts profit above the well-being of young people, then something has gone terribly wrong.
