The University of California San Francisco invited author and Critical Race theorist Dante Hall to lecture on the topic of whiteness. In this talk, Hall said, “Whites are psychopaths, and their behavior represents an underlying biologically transmittable proclivity with has roots deep in their evolutionary history.” He then asked the audience to raise their hands if they noticed this, and claimed everyone who didn’t raise their hands was just in denial. Hall later said violent crimes committed by young black people are just human nature. The lecture was patently racist, offensive, and downright alarming. Is this the type of person who should be lecturing to the next generation? If UCSF wants people to stop being suspicious of the university, it should start self-correcting by refusing to give divisive racists platforms in their lecture halls.
