A heartbreaking tragedy out of Lexington is making national news: a baby boy, born and concealed by a University of Kentucky student, was found wrapped in a towel inside a trash bag, and hidden in a closet. The mother, Laken Snelling was charged with abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence, and concealing the birth of an infant. Some have said, if abortion was legal in Kentucky this wouldn’t have happened. Let that sink in and think about that for a moment. If abortion were legal, the results would have been the same—a human being with a prematurely ended life. This story is tragic. For the child of course, but also for a mother who in shame concealed her own child’s death.
