It’s been a divisive election season, and many Americans are disappointed, as their favorite candidate or ballot measure lost. It’s easy to get discouraged by political losses. But coming out of this political season, we look forward to Thanksgiving next week. It’s a time we spend with family and friends, reflecting as a people on how good God has been to us. If you’re still discouraged by election day, remember how God has blessed you this year. If you’re in good health, have a good job, a family, and most importantly the freedom to worship Him—then give the Almighty thanks and praise. May each of us prepare our hearts as we enter this Thanksgiving season.
