A new Barna study revealed that over half of Christians view pornography. And over 60% of them feel comfortable with it. Sex is a gift from God within the covenant of marriage. But pornography feeds lust and sexual activity outside of marriage. Studies have shown that it also results in anxiety, depression, and a lower view of the opposite sex. This isn’t God’s design for us. Nor does it the way to love of our neighbors as ourselves. Christians of all people should know better and are called to live lives of holiness, honoring God, and remaining faithful to our spouses and children. But pornography doesn’t lead to fidelity, it undermines it. Truth is, God wants so much better for us: in our personal lives and relationships.
