Disney’s new movie “Lightyear,” featuring the iconic character Buzz Lightyear, is causing, well, quite the buzz. But not everyone is pleased. Fourteen countries have banned theatrical showings of the movie. So why is a children’s movie being banned? The movie features a kiss scene between two female characters. Disney and Pixar have prioritized pushing moral boundaries and controversial and immoral messages onto our children. It’s the morally conservative countries in the Middle East and Southeast Asia that are saying no. And yet, the elites in our nation applaud the radical messaging to our children. Parents should be aware of the movies their kids are watching and put up safeguards. If they don’t, the world will guide their children away from the true, the good, and the beautiful.
