Major news of ugly racism under the guise of DEI surfaced two weeks ago, when the Chief Equity Officer for Jefferson County schools made an inflammatory post on X. Several Republican state legislators called for him to step down, but major news outlets failed to investigate DEI programs in Jefferson County schools. This is the latest example of legacy media failing to report news and instead taking political sides. That’s why they’ve platformed DEI defenders like Ricky Jones. These same major news outlets failed to publish an alternative view. DEI is divisive and unhelpful, yet legacy media fails to give a fair hearing to its opponents. And so long as this happens, they can expect concerned citizens to turn to more balanced news outlets.
