EMW Women’s Surgical Center and Planned Parenthood argued that the laws were unconstitutional but failed to persuade the Court. The case now goes back to Jefferson Circuit Court where a trial will be heard in light of the ruling. Planned Parenthood vowed to continue challenging the laws, so the fight to restore a culture of life still rages on. In practical terms, the ruling ensures that abortion centers are still outlawed in Kentucky, and unborn babies will have a chance to live.
