Kentucky’s 2025 legislative session begins today, and the Republican supermajority will consider hundreds of bills that purport to make Kentucky a better place. A few notable bills expected for consideration include protecting First Amendment conscience rights for counselors and medical professionals; ending taxpayer-funded DEI programs in public schools; require age verification for social media; lowering the state income tax as well. Even though these bills are getting attention, their fate is uncertain. Here’s the good news, you can help move these bills by simply contacting your legislators at the message line. If you don’t know who they are, the receptionist will find them and relay your message at 800-372-7181. Please know that your calls and perspectives do make a difference.
