Kentucky’s Scott Jennings runs a prominent PR firm called RunSwitch and is a CNN contributor where he defends conservative positions. Recently, he was tapped to join the editorial board of the Los Angeles Times. Jennings said, “Roughly half (or more) of the country often feels like legacy media doesn’t care what it thinks and has little interest in fairly representing its views and values. I plan to represent those Americans who believe they are often ignored or even ridiculed in legacy media and applaud [the] move to bring balance to the editorial board.” This move represents a major legacy newspaper bringing balance to its commentary. Other legacy news outlets should take note and would do well if they want to reach a wider audience across the political spectrum.
